Cyberoam, a leading global network security appliances company, today announced the appointment of Mr. Pieter Nel, a local stationed Enterprise Account Manager, to support enterprise customer acquisition and account management, for the region.

Considering the security market for South Africa, an annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.6% is forecasted over the next five years. In addition to this most businesses from key verticals have begun prioritizing IT security budgets to secure headquarters, data centers and distributed branch networks. Growing uptake of cloud, virtualization and rising inclination towards open networks and internet driven business models is resulting in higher demand for enterprise network / IT security.

Foreseeing such huge opportunity for the region, Cyberoam intends to reach to more in need of Next-Generation solutions, with their future ready network security offerings. Appointment of a local enterprise accountmanager for the region is one such step showcasing Cyberoam’s futuristic plans to expand its reach in the region.Pieter would be working closely with the enterprise customers of the regions, and will lead Cyberoam’s concentrated efforts in adding to the vigour of enterprise customers, and will drive superior service and support for customers –enabling Cyberoam to capture the market with more strength. He would also be involved in organising and conducting Sales trainings for the sales force in the region.

Mr. Pieter, brings with him wide range of experience which includes preparing and implementing marketing plans for products or product sets as required, along with vendor strategies. He has also been involved in activities like aligning, creating, implementing and driving First Distribution promotions with vendor promotions. Cyberoam looks forward to harvest new business relationships from this experience and expertise he brings along.

Commenting on Mr. Pieter’s role with Cyberoam, Mr. Adrian Anema, Country Manager Cyberoam, South Africa said, “The South African markets are forecasted to be promising.
