Ahmedabad, India. 18 October, 2011 - Cyberoam, a division of Elitecore Technologies, has announced the launch of virtual Cyberoam Central Console (CCC) appliances in centralized security management. The products retain the same features and security management capabilities as Cyberoam’s dedicated CCC appliances but with added benefits of a virtual platform – nonexistent hardware, reduced cost of ownership and on-demand scalability for license selection up to 200 users.

These virtual CCC appliances can be implemented for both VMware and VMware workstation environments. This allows greater flexibility for administrators who want to manage their security environment for versatile network configurations.

Says Abhilash Sonwane, Sr. VP, Product Management, “Large enterprises as well as MSSPs, are nowadays looking for solutions that can simplify their overall security management role in complex deployment scenarios like multiple servers spread across global datacenters. By eliminating the need for dedicated hardware, Cyberoam’s virtual CCC appliances minimize operational and maintenance costs, optimize your existing hardware and simplify future upgrades. Also, going virtual is more eco-friendly.”

The CCC virtual appliances can be downloaded from Cyberoam’s website, and immediately after activation, customers can manage up to 5 Cyberoam UTM appliances for free. Beyond this, separate licenses have to be purchased to support up to 200 appliances.
