Cyberoam, the innovator of Identity-based Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliances, announces today that the Cyberoam CR50i is the first solution to attain ICSA Labs certification for firewalls with Active-Active High Availability (HA) capability. Active-Active High Availability capability reduces the impact of the failure of a single gateway and provides efficient and reliable access to business-critical applications, information and services. ICSA Labs, an independent division of Verizon Business, performed the rigorous certification, verifying Cyberoam’s strong credentials in the enterprise network security market.

The Cyberoam CR50i provides comprehensive protection to organizations, protecting their networks and users from external and insider threats. With its patent-pending identity-based security, gigabit throughputs, and high levels of granularity, CR50i secures small/medium enterprise networks from internal and external threats, delivering security continuity.

“Security solutions that meet the stringent conditions imposed by ICSA Labs during testing for Active-Active High Availability are robust and are capable of handling the demanding situations they face in corporate networks,” says Brian Monkman, firewall program manager, ICSA Labs. “Cyberoam has satisfied ICSA Labs’ criteria in attaining the certification. Cyberoam customers can use this product with a high degree of confidence, knowing they are using a product that has been tested by a well-established third party: ICSA Labs.”

The ICSA Labs Active-Active HA Certification confirms Cyberoam’s commitment to the enterprise segment with key deployments providing security at the perimeter in addition to data centers and DMZs (demilitarized zone) in these networks.

Online threats to government and corporations hold serious implications for national and corporate security, since they hold vast amounts of sensitive data,” said Abhilash Sonwane, vice-president, Cyberoam. “As possible targets of spyware and hacking attacks, these organizations cannot afford to have security downtime. The ICSA Labs certification further validates Cyberoam’s strength in meeting the complex and critical requirements of our customers.”

Cyberoam focuses on key verticals such as government, including defense and central-state departments, as well as public sector areas such as banking and finance and telecom sectors. Customers include New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), BSNL, Honda and more.
